I have been going back and forth all day as to whether or not I should talk about this. Then I decided, why not, Boxing is a freakin joke, why not pile on! For all of you idiots out there who thought the NBA playoffs were rigged, welcome to a sport that truly is fixed. Boxing has been dirty for years! Last night’s split decision win for Timothy Bradley over Manny Pacquiao is not a surprise.

For years there’s been talk that promoters influence  judges and how they score fights. Fixing fights is a good way to set up future matches. Last night’s fight was the perfect fight to fix. Bradley is a good fighter and an up and comer. By having him win this fight, it was a good way to promote him while at the same time exposing Pacquiao as being beatable. I know you’re probably thinking my theory is off but think about it. Boxing needs more star power. By beating Pacquiao, Bradley becomes the “It” fighter and a household name. For Pacquiao, he now has to either win his rematch against Bradley or beat a name fighter like……Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I will give Pacquiao credit. He knows he got screwed last night, but he took in stride. He knows that his career will not be measured by losing to Bradley but rather beating a guy like Mayweather. Speaking of that fight, let’s hope we see it eventually.
